Bakey is a bakery devoted to serving warm, fresh babka every day—alongside a selection of baked goods and coffee, crafted with love, always.

THE OPPORTUNITY

A collection of bakeries with a dedicated fan base crazy for impossibly fresh, insanely delicious babka, Bakey’s planned expansion called for an enhanced look.

THE COLLABORATION

DesignScout set out to create a brand expression that spoke to the quality of the product, the dedication of the bakers, and the head-over-heels love guests felt for their babka and baked goods. We reimagined their interiors and packaging, taking every opportunity to visually communicate that there’s no babka quite like this babka.

Results

The Bakey rebrand invited the community back in with an invigorated sense of warmth and a renewed clarity on Bakey’s differentiation in the marketplace. Bakey has added two new stores, bringing its total to 5 locations, serving tourists at Faneuil Hall and students in Kendall Square.

We came to DesignScout at a moment when Bakey needed a clearer, stronger brand identity to support our growth. Scout’s team immediately understood who we are, what we stand for, and where we are headed, and translated that into a visual and verbal language that elevated the entire brand. The result is a sharp, modern identity that strengthened our presence and gave both our team and our customers a brand they’re proud of.
